Privacy notice

How we use your information when you visit our website, contact us or request an appointment.

Who we are

Crews Hill Barbers Ltd, trading as Crews Hill Barbers, is responsible for your personal information. Our premises are at Cattlegate Road, Enfield, England, EN2 9DJ.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email info@crewshillbarbers.co.uk or write to us at this address.

Information we collect

When you request an appointment, you give us your name, phone number and email address, together with your chosen service, barber, date and time. We also record your booking reference, its status and changes to it.

We receive the information you send us in enquiries and booking messages. Our website and service providers may record technical information, such as your IP address, browser and request details, to deliver and protect the service. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information.

Online booking does not collect card details or take a deposit. Your name and contact details are required to manage an online request; without them, we cannot complete it.

How and why we use it

We use your booking details to respond to your request, arrange and provide your appointment, manage availability and contact you about changes. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and performing the service contract.

We use relevant enquiry and technical information for our legitimate interests in answering questions, resolving booking issues and protecting our website against misuse. We consider your interests and rights when doing so. Where we need to keep or disclose particular information to meet a legal obligation, that obligation is the basis for doing so.

Requesting an appointment does not sign you up for marketing. Appointment requests are reviewed by the salon; the website does not make a solely automated decision with legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Who handles your information

Authorised salon staff can access booking information. STAM Agency supports our website and booking service, using Vercel for hosting, Supabase for the booking database and Zoho for business email. These providers handle information needed to supply and support their services. We may also share relevant information with professional advisers or authorities where necessary to resolve a claim or meet a legal requirement.

These services can involve processing outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and, for global infrastructure or support, other countries. The providers publish their international-transfer arrangements, including contractual safeguards where applicable: Vercel, Supabase and Zoho. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data or to request a copy.

How long we keep information

Our normal retention policy is:

A new appointment does not restart the retention period for an older record. Information may be removed sooner when it is no longer needed. Particular records may be kept longer when needed for an unresolved complaint, legal claim or legal obligation; that exception applies to the relevant information, not every booking.

Technical and security records are kept according to their purpose and the service provider’s retention settings, including the time needed to investigate a specific incident. The booking periods above are not a guarantee of immediate deletion from every log or backup. Backup expiry follows the providers’ backup cycles. Contact us if you need information about a particular record or want to request erasure.

Maps, fonts and external services

This website loads Google Fonts and embeds Google Maps to show our location. Your browser connects to Google when these resources load, which shares technical information such as your IP address. Google may process information under its own privacy policy, including its cookie and account preferences.

External map and social-media links take you to other services with their own privacy and cookie settings. You can manage stored cookies in your browser. This notice does not describe the website or third-party services as cookie-free.

Your rights and how to contact us

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request erasure, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. If any processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw that consent. These rights can be subject to legal conditions.

Email info@crewshillbarbers.co.uk with your request. We may need enough information to verify your identity, and we normally respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Please contact us if you would like us to address a concern first.
